Mikami Sanji is a renowned and respected Japanese professor of Japanese language, literature and history who lived from 1865 to 1939.
Prof. Mikami crowned his academic carreer in the office as Dean of the Faculty of Letters at Tōkyō Imperial University
Mikami Sanji produced possibly the very first "critical" study of the so called 'Fuke-shū', the "Fuke Sect", during the Edo Period, 1603 to 1867-68.
